I attended a lunch to discuss the revelations and quandaries regarding the two new episodes of Lost. It was interesting to work out some of the bits of the show in open forum.
I like the resolution of Eko’s brother’s presence on the island as well as the explicit statement of the nature of time.
What bits were of interest to y’all?
Tonight is the Lost season premier (S05E01) that everyone is waiting for. Certainly, it should be on par with the drama in the beginning of the end of Battlestar Galactica.
Several months ago, I had an idea about how to make sense of all the story lines in Lost and how they mesh together. Graphically, you could cut every scene from the show and lay them out. Then apply the proper attribution with regards to characters and locations and events to each scene. Take the results of that attribution and create linkages between each of the scenes and dynamically play them out in serial order. This should result in a giant navigatable branching tree (and roots) sorted by time.
