The concept is simple. Get someone really drunk, have them describe a key historical event and have big actors (Will Farrell, Jack Black etc) reenact the drunk version of events.
Why did no one think of this before?! There are four video in total, these are probably the best.
Perhaps not something we should be seriousley endorsing since many of our incomes are from cable tv! But a really intersting article from the Ny Times. I would love to be free of the $110+ monthly cable bill (ok, $50 of that is internet) but this sounds a little rough round the edges still. What the article doesn’t point out is that you can still have over the air free network TV and even HD with an antenna. If you even have a cable drop in your home you can get free network TV though that, just not HD. You can then still use a Tivo. So you don’t have to go to Boxee or Hulu for 30 Rock, SNL etc
iTunes season passes for HBO and Showtime series are still priced such, that if you had basic cable already it wouldn’t be any cheaper to get them then to pay for the two months or whatever of premium channels.
An interesting albeit not entirely surprising article about the TV watching habits of file sharers.
I think it’s fair to say that Top Gear wouldn’t be on BBC America as much (if at all) if it wasn’t for file sharing and the audience it created in the US.

Alas, this is where the good news stops! Probably motivated by the recent success created around resetting the classic Star Trek franchise, this version of Galactica will be produced by Glen A. Larson for the sole pleasure of Mr. P (didn’t Glen produce Knight Rider?) and will be based on the old 1970′s version of the show! No offense, but yuk!
Checking his IMDB page gave me even more bad news… Not only the dude crippled our youth with terrible shows (I have to admit I watched each and everyone of them) such as Galactica, Knight Rider, Magnum P.I., The Fall Guy, The Highway Man, Manimal, Simon & Simon and Buck Rogers, but he seems to be working on adaptions for several of his hits such as:
